About the Author
A wood scientist and technologist, Dr Ivor Davies is a Research Fellow within Edinburgh Napier University's Forest Products Research Institute where he has led or participated in a number of transnational and national timber research projects. As an internationally recognised expert on external timber cladding, he is regularly called upon to provide consultancy advice and expert witness services. A Reader in Architectural Technology and CAD at Edinburgh Napier University's School of Engineering and the Built Environment, John Wood is Head of Product Innovation and Continuing Professional Development within the University's Institute for Sustainable Construction.
