This 8th edition of A Year Off... A Year On? has been produced by the team of authors responsible for the widely used CLIPS series of information leaflets on jobs, careers and other issues. Tessa Doe, Helen Evans, Hilary Jones and Debbie Steel have also written, revised and edited other student handbooks and options guides as well as a range of materials for adults returning to education and for students with special needs.
Between them, the authors have broad and varied experience of the worlds of education, employment, youth work and careers guidance. They have also all travelled widely, which has been very useful in compiling some of the advice in the latter chapters of this book!
