As one of the flagship projects of Glasgow 1999, Homes for the Future has brought together a group of architects, developers and planners to build 100 new homes on Glasgow Green. As well as bringing new life to a long-neglected part of the city, Homes for the Future offers a new model for affordable urban housing. With its emphasis on collaboration and creativity, the scheme is both commercially viable development and a fitting legacy of Glasgow's year as UK City of Architecture and Design. This book explores the urban history of Glasgow and introduces the project in detail.
