From the Author
I very much enjoyed writing the book and flying in the VC10s based at RAF Brize Norton and on detachment in Italy. I received enourmous support from the RAF, retired pilots, enthusiasts and others from all over the world. My original intention had simply been to sketch the aircraft, a favourite from my childhood, but from that grew the idea of writing a book and it is pleasing to see how well it has been received over the years. I would especially like to be in contact with reviewer who signed himself fitzherbert1 as we may have crossed paths in the past. Once again, thank you very much to everyone who has read and reviewed the book.
