Synopsis

This book sets out the basic, and some advanced, concepts of corrosion monitoring. Although the major users of corrosion monitoring are those who operate with corrosive liquids, such as sea water and process chemicals, most other industries experience financial loss through material corrosion. This book therefore presents techniques which are applicable to a wide range of equipment and plant. Each of the major corrosion monitoring techniques is described in detail with a discussion of relevant equipment. In depth study of applications using a wide variety of equipment is included, together with case studies. The Buyers' Guide lists a variety of companies who can furnish more detailed information on specific applications.
