Synopsis

A groundbreaking new theory that puts dreaming at the heart of our emotional well-being...

Since earliest times, mankind has been both puzzled and inspired by the mysterious world of dreams. But now, as this important book shows, we know what dreams are. And this knowledge opens up wonderful new possibilities for humanity.

'Dreaming Reality' tells the remarkable story of Joe Griffin’s successful 12-year quest to solve the question of why we dream, and vividly describes the practical uses this knowledge brings us all. His easily testable theory is not only consistent with neuroscientific findings from current sleep research, but also reveals important new psychological insights into depression, psychosis and the role that the state in which most dreams occur (the REM state) plays in developing each person’s view of reality.

How we dream, it turns out, is vital to both our mental health and how we each fulfil our potential. Reading this remarkable book could easily change your life.

'Dreaming Reality' answers fundamental scientific questions:

- Why we dream and how to work out what our dreams really mean

- Why our dreams seem so intense and significant when we experience them, and yet are so easily forgotten

- Why depressed people always wake up exhausted

- The connection between emotions and dreams

- How daydreaming, hypnosis, creativity and dreaming are related

- Why psychotic people appear to be living out bad dreams

- Why everyone loves stories

- The connection between learning and dreaming

- Why animals dream differently from us

... and much more.
