After his early years in rural France, Alexi Kondratiev studied at Columbia University, New York and later at the École des Hautes Études in Paris. He has contributed articles to a variety of publications including Keltoi: A Pan-Celtic Review, Carn, People of the Earth, Keltria and the Journal of Druidism and Celtic Magic.
Since 1984, Alexi has taught Irish at the Irish Arts Centre in New York as well as teaching courses in Celtic mythology, early Celtic Christianity, the history of Celtic traditional music and related topics. He perfected his knowledge of the living Celtic languages through prolonged stays in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France.
