Synopsis
Mere weeks after a killer involved in a puzzling homicide is caught in the quiet bedroom community of St Michael, Staff Sergeant Laurenson is on another case. The victim is alive, but Tiffany Skoreko, who has been beaten and violently raped, is found wandering barefoot and incoherent on a country road. Laurenson's early investigation shows that the man they're looking for has a history of chameleon-like adaptation to any locale and a gift for getting himself into the good graces of any woman.
