Of the 9,000 or so bird species recorded, about 300 are parrots. With their often dazzling colours and a great ability to mimic, they are among the most popular of all birds kept in aviculture. In spite of this, no single volume to date has attempted to bring together an authoritative text and a complete photographic record in colour of all the different species in aviculture. This was the challenge that excited world expert and renowned author, Rosemary Low, and bird photographers, Ron and Val Moat. Together they have created the definitive identification guide to over 220 parrot species in aviculture. For each bird there is a superb colour photograph alongside precise and informative text.
