Synopsis
Only recently exhibiting outside of his native Cuba, the young artist’s site-specific installations are gathering increasing interest around the world. Pietro responds to the contrasts and contradictions of place which, in the case of Hamilton Ontario, meant highlighting the city’s glorious industrial past with its current state of abandon. ‘Mute’ reproduces a fully functional discotheque but with no sound.
