I'm very pleased to see my book on sale in the U.K..
I know the the plight of Romanian orphanages touched the citizens of the U.K. greatly when the story first came out in 1990. I know this because my husband and I were stationed at a NATO base in the Netherlands at the time, along with a large contingent of U.K. military forces. Much of the information I received about the orphanages before we adopted came from the B.B.C, as British citizens made their way to Romania to adopt. I think Daniela's story of struggles and triumphs will be of interest to all those families who have adopted internationally and all those who are considering it.
