This retelling of Aesop's classic fable follows the familiar story but lets us in on what happened when the race was over. After his humiliating loss to a tortoise, Hare goes home to nurse the injuries to his pride. After some thinking, he visits Tortoise, asking for advice about how he might find the broader, deeper success Tortoise appears to have mastered. After a series of inspiring lessons, Tortoise and Hare decide to celebrate with a second race. The story ends with a twist that encourages us to reconsider what winning truly means.
