From the Author

I will take this opportunity to thank the British readers of "To The Point: The Story of Darts in America". I greatly appreciate the kind comments and reviews I have received to date. I think the perspective that my book brings to the sport has been a source of informative entertainment for many readers. "To The Point" includes photo's and profiles of the British and Irish players and promoters who brought, and continue to bring, their sport to America. This is a wonderful story, peopled with characters ranging from ordinary working folk who find satisfaction in the skills and protocol of the sport, to flamboyant darts shooters and promoters seeking reputation and fortune in the intense light of international competition, and I am delighted to share it.
