Synopsis
Ida Rolf, a chemical engineer, mathematician and atomic physicist, pioneered a radical view of human physiology and growth that has influenced many scientific fields. Rolf believed and taught that the human body, in alignment with the gravitational field of the earth, meant a body in balance and harmony. Research and speculation posit that Rolfing is an alchemical process of personal growth. About the Author
Betsy Sise is a graduate of Skidmore College, UNC and the U. of Arizona. Certified by the Rolf Institute in 1978, she is an Advanced Rolfer and has held prominent positions with the Rolf Institute. She lives in Prescott, Arizona.
