About the Author

Michael Constas PhD JD MBA is a professor of business at California State University, Long Beach. Before teaching, he was a partner of a major California law firm. Dr Constas earned all degrees at UCLA. He has published numerous articles on investments in academic and professional journals and is an author of Private Real Estate Syndications. Jae K. Shim PhD MBA is a professor of business at California State University, Long Beach and president of National Business Review Foundation, an investment consulting and training firm. He is also the chief investment officer (CIO) for a Los Angeles county agency. Dr Shim received his MBA and PhD degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. He has published numerous articles in academic and professional journals. He also has over fifty books to his credit, including Personal Finance, The Personal Financial Planning and Investment Guide, Investments: A Self-Teaching Guide, Encyclopedic Dictionary of Accounting and Finance, Financial Management, Managerial Finance and the best-selling Vest-Pocket MBA. Dr Shim received the Credit Research Foundation Award in 1982 for one of his articles on investment management.
