Making the right use of force decison
We developed the "Reactive Control Model" and the accompanying use of force training program for line police officers. When force is necessary it must be the appropriate level and must match the subjects resistance. Any level of force will be made only in "reaction" to the "subjects" actions. We have provided clear use of force guidelines that remove the mystery of when and what level of force to use. We believe that our program, contained in the book, is the first publication that provides a police officer with specific actions to be taken when a subject refuses to submit to lawful custody. Most models are used to evaluate a use of force action, after the fact, not ours.We hope that when you have read the book that you will take the time to submit your comments; positive or negative.
