Synopsis

In the mid 1700s, long before he led the American Revolution, a teenage George Washington copied out his famous 110 Rules of Civility and Decent Behaviour in Comapny and Conversation at his home in Virginia. In this book, bestselling author, Adam Haslett, introduces this surprisingly contemporary guide to manners and mores and considers whether or not the current President lives up to the virtues extolled by his predecessor.
