Synopsis
Each book in Levels Three through Seven presents exercises that were written so that everything the students need to know to do the work is in the assignments. Most students take one year to complete a level. Level 3 is designed for students ages 8-12, or for those who have finished Writing Strands 2. It is designed to give beginning writers experience in organizing thoughts so that they can be understood easily by others. It has been used successfully even in tenth grade for students needing special help.

This level is designed for any student who has completed the exercises in Writing Strands 3 or students in the eighth or ninth grade. The writing exercises in this level are in four categories: basic, creation, organization, and description. The exercises in each of these areas will guide you in the development of the skills you'll need.
