Synopsis

The author's great interest in philosophy began at the age of 15, when illness rather abruptly raised the issue of a possible life after death. In the course of his studies, the author managed to acquire considerable insight into such fields as astronomy, cosmology, physics, philosophy, biology and economics. He is also a noted authority on biblical symbolism and has given a number of popular lectures on the subject. In this most recent endeavour, featuring additional data and research involving galactic redshifts, even more evidence has been adduced in strong support of the 'new cosmology' which the writer has long pioneered.

From the Publisher

Spiritual insight into founding principles of our Nation
"A critical spiritual message revealed through a story every bit as intriguing as John Grisham's best, DESTINY goes beyond THE CELESTINE PROPHECY and draws upon A COURSE IN MIRACLES in guiding us in how we must live together in our complex, demanding world. Each paragraph of DESTINY compels you to read the next. It is truly inspired and captivates the reader with this sense of inspiration. DARLA J. BLATNIK, Attorney at Law

"DESTINY is one of the most profound books of our time. It is a message of truth, in the form of a well written and gripping novel, that offers the potential for individual and collective transformation to finally bring peace and harmony to all nations and to our planet. I highly recommend it for the thoughtful reader." VERNON M. SYLVEST, M.D., author of THE FORMULA

"Ms. Clute's well-researched novel provides a warp of historical detail with a weft of quantum physics to weave a fabric of intrigue. The fabric cloaks the reader with abundant information about the founding principles of our Nation and offers an explanation of the mysteries of our spiritual roots." A.K. WILSON, National Independent Review

From the Author

Author's notes on inspiration for writing Destiny.
During my law school training, which began in 1970, I was taught to "go for the jugular," to concede nothing to my opponent. As a trial attorney, I perfected this approach reasonably well--until 1988 when I was introduced to A Course in Miracles. ACIM teaches that every attack is an attack on oneself, everyone must win or we all lose, and we must never judge anyone other than innocent. This presented a serious challenge to everything I was as an attorney.

As I observed the legal process--and political process as a candidate for the US Senate in Virginia's Ollie North v Chuck Robb race (I had decided there should be one candidate addressing issues other than lying to Congress or conjugal infidelity--why not me?) I knew there had to be a better way and I was certain ACIM provided valuable guidance. The result was the writing of DESTINY in which I have suggested Seven Spiritual Principles for Governing a People. I chose to write a novel to make the material more entertaining and accessible.

I had previously begun to explore the use of these principles, both in my law practice and as a candidate. For example, even though I was dubbed a "Liberal Democrat" I was well received when I addressed Jerry Falwell's congregation during the Senate campaign. Our legal and political processes do not have to be divisive and self-destructive.

But we must have a vision, a dream of what a better way might look like, before we can manifest it in our physical reality. My hope is that DESTINY will be a seed from which such a vision can grow.

I welcome opportunities to address groups and organizations about this vision--my dream of a brave new world based on Love. Such opportunities are a valuable tool in developing my own thoughts about our future as a Nation. Together, we must find a better way!

Thanks to all my readers.
