The purpose of this book is to help you develop a positive mindset to achieve success in all areas of your life. Unfortunately, we are exposed to negative thinking every day…on our jobs, in the media, and in the words and actions of the people we meet. This negative thinking has a profound impact on how we perceive ourselves and what we become. Every truly successful person who discovers his or her inner strength, who achieves great things, does so with a positive frame of mind. A positive mental attitude can be developed and maintained by following the process revealed to you in this book. Without a doubt, to accomplish any goal you need to develop the proper mindset. Confidence, which is cultivated through applied faith, can be an acquired virtue. It is a well-established fact that repetition of thought in the form of daily affirmations or convictions will dramatically increase self-confidence. Upon acquiring the confidence necessary to take actions on your dreams and desires, you are well on the way to accomplishing any goal or fulfilling any mission.

Affirmations allow you to live your dreams.
Affirmations and visualization are the slight edge techniques which are used by top athletes, entrepreneurs and other successful people to ensure their dreams and goals come true. Affirmations are statements of belief. For example, my favorite affirmation is I am fearless tm. This affirmation has helped me to overcome the fears and self doubts I once had that were preventing me from fully using my potential. Scott Adams used affirmations to go from a middle manager at Pacific Bell to a world famous cartoonist in three years. Scott affirmed, "I am the number one cartoonist on the planet." Within two years his affirmation came true and Dilbert was syndicated to 1,400 newspapers worldwide. We all affirm every day, but most of us affirm in the negative. For example, "I don't have enough time," or "I'm not good enough," are two phrases which many of us tell ourselves every day. But you can displace these negative thoughts and beliefs with positive thoughts and beliefs. One affirmation that I say every day is "I am an internationally recognized best-selling author, motivational speaker and syndicated newspaper columnist." That is what I want to be. That is what I believe I will be, so that is what I affirm. With your helpmy dream will come true. If you want to succeed at anything, follow this process: 1. Write down your goals and dreams. 2. Affirm your beliefs every day. Use the words "I am." For example, "I am a wide receiver for the New England Patriots," is an affirmation that my son Jarred says to himself. If he continues to affirm this every day, he will live his dream of playing for the Patriots one day. 3. Write and state your affirmations in the present tense and make sure they are positive. "I will not eat chocolate cake anymore," is a negative affirmation and will not work. "I am slim, fit and healthy," is a positive affirmation and is much more motivational. Think and act positively. 4. Visualize your success. See yourself living your dreams and achieving your goals. Affirmations of Wealth contains 101 sample affirmations which are both insightful and motivational. Also included are the tools the necessary to allow you to write out your goals in a format that will guarantee your success. For more info, read Affirmations of Wealth - 101 Secrets of Daily Success.
