Mousetracks is instructional, inspirational, and fun.
An author's answer to USA 9/15/97 Don't be so easily confused by different programs, tools, or directions, they are close at hand. Without knowing the age of your son, it might be helpful to note that earlier projects in the book can (and should) be followed by the picures only. If a child is not a reader, children can reproduce projects on their own just by following the pictures. (Not to worry, they will pick up skills, and reproduce them again on their own). It is impossible to give sample computer projects for each and every program, so that's why we created a universal approach and called it an idea book. Focus on the creative ideas, and encourage your child to recreate the projects, regardless of familiarity or habit.
This text provides 70 step-by-step educational activities for children aged between five and ten to try on the computer. It is organized into popular themes such as sports, rain forests and outer space, and can be used with any graphics and word processing software on any computer.
