Ann Townsend's poetry, fiction, and essays have appeared in such journals as The Kenyon Review, The Nation, Southern Review, and TriQuarterly. Her awards include a Pushcart Prize, the Discovery/The Nation Award, the Stanley Hanks Poetry Prize, two Academy of American Poets Prizes, and grants from the Ohio Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. She lives in Granville, Ohio, and is Assistant Professor of English at Denison University.
