Eugne Anatole Carrire (January 16, 1849 - March 27, 1906) Was A French Symbolist Artist Of The Fin De Sicle Period. His Work Is Best Known For Its Brown Monochrome Palette. He Was A Close Friend Of The Sculptor Rodin And His Work Influenced Picasso. Some See Traces Of Carrire'S Monochrome Style In Picasso'S Blue Period. This Book Is A Collection Of Carriere'S Works. It Describes His Life, Influences, And Artistic Progeny; Not Un-Eloquently, And Offers Excellent Reproductions Of His Work. Since Most Of His Paintings Are Monochromatic, It Is Absolutely Essential To Get The Value Relationships Right In A Reproduction. These Reproductions Are Large, Generous And On Fine Paper.
