David Taylor studied and practised as a geologist for more than 40 years. Reading works by Charles Darwin and Sir Albert Howard convinced him of the importance of compost to healthy soils and gardens. In 1990, David and his wife, Yvonne, moved to the country and revegetated four hectares. David still lives and gardens on their old school property.
