Sally Simpson was brought up in South Africa. After living in America for a number of years, she spent some time cruising around the world as a travel writer. On her return to South Africa, she worked in the winelands, where she gained her vast expertise on the winelands and winemakers of the Cape. Sally is married and currently resides in Stellenbosch.
An evocation of the winelands of the Western Cape. Sally Simson shares the personal recipes and kitchen secrets of the people of the area, be they botanists, photographers or winemakers, mushroom-pickers, writers or caterers. Her narrative celebrates good food, good wine and times spent together.
