Synopsis
Lecture Notes are a resource for those studying and teaching law. Aimed primarily at students taking undergraduate or CPE courses, each title of the series examines a particular field of the law, with chapters for each of the major topics within the subject. Each chapter ends with a summary sheet giving an overview of the issues discussed. This work charts the progress of a criminal case and describes the principles and procedures to be applied at each stage of the case. The book also examines the Youth Court and appeals from the magistrates' court and the Crown Court. It also considers the various types of sentence which may be imposed.
