This book covers the basic production skills necessary to handle radio interviews, talks and straight pieces as well as packages. How does a studio differ in sound from a normal room? How can background sounds be eliminated? How should an interview be conducted and edited? The tape gives examples of these and many other questions, and is itself a demonstration of how a longer radio programme might be assembled. The linking script is written using radio techniques, the taped examples demonstrate the problems faced by beginners as well as the solutions to those problems.
