Following on from the authors' The Castellated and Domestic Architecture of Scotland, these volumes provide a remarkably detailed survey of Scottish cathedrals, churches and monastic buildings, illustrated with over 1,600 floor plans and drawings. Volume I covers Celtic to Norman and Transition buildings; Volume II concentrates on late 12th- to 14th-century Gothic structures; and Volume III continues the survey up to the early 17th century. This is a facsimile reprint of the 1896-7 edition. No jackets.
