Professor Des O Neill is a consultant geriatrician at Tallaght Hospital in Dublin. He is a contributor to national media and writes regularly in the Irish Times on ageing. He received an All-Ireland Inspirational Life Award in 2010 for his work encouraging older people to lead active and fulfilling lives.
