It also features illustrations of skulls for all of the carnivores. The 8-page section of comparative spoor is still a feature, updated with the most recent information available. It includes distribution maps (88 in all) and full-colour photographs (some 150) of each species within its habitat.

About the Author

Clive Walker studied art before taking up as a game ranger in Botswana and travelling extensively in the southern African bush. Actively involved in environmental education and wildlife conservation, he founded the Educational Wildlife Expeditions in 1975, a company that specializes in adult game trails. He has served as Chairman of the Wilderness Trust of Southern Africa, which runs the Lapalala Wilderness School, and co-founded the Endangered Wildlife Trust, which ranks amongst the top three conservation organizations in South Africa. He is a member of several national and international conservation organizations.
