This new monograph documents the highly creative and evocative work of internationally acclaimed firm Hariri & Hariri Architecture. Established in 1986 by Cornell-educated, Iranian-born sisters Gisue and Mojgan Hariri, this New York-based firm has been commissioned for high-profile projects such as the iconic Sagaponac House in Long Island, New York. Awarded for the quality and originality of its work with accolades such as the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Letters Academy Award in Architecture, the firm's designs have also featured in numerous exhibitions and publications. This superbly designed monograph presents the firm's visionary achievements in the areas of urban, residential, commercial, cultural, hospitality and product design as well as art objects. The firm's celebrated recent projects include the US$80-million Sternbrauerei Salzburg (a world-class residential and mixed-use development in Salzburg, Austria), a 50,000-square-foot loft building in the heart of the Dallas Arts Center and the US$250,000 'Rock Crystal' chandelier for Swarovski.

Gisue Hariri and Mojgan Hariri are the cofounders and Principal Directors of Hariri & Hariri Architecture, a New York based multi-disciplinary architecture and design firm established in 1986 by Iranian-born Cornell-educated sisters. Today they are celebrated as two of the most accomplished women in American architecture and design and are described as one of the most progressive and out-of-the-box firms currently working in the United States. Their projects run the gamut from luxury residential developments and hotels to bathroom accessories to single-family houses to high-concept, high-tech experiments. For the Hariris, design is a holistic, boundary-less enterprise ranging from master planning and architecture to interior design, furniture, lighting, product design, and jewellery. They have devoted time to teaching since 1987, to emphasise the importance of academic and philosophical discourse within the context of a professional practice, and have been Adjunct Professors of Architecture at Columbia University, a Visiting Critic at Cornell University, McGill University, and Parsons School of Design.
