The Author
Tom Barber originally trained as a medical doctor, but turned to magazine and newspaper work before he began writing stories for children. He lives in Nottingham, England, and is the father of three growing boys.
The Illustrator
Rosalind Beardshaw took a serious interest in art from early childhood, and received art training at Manchester Polytechnic in England. She lives in York, England, where, in addition to her illustrating career she does volunteer work, teaching adults who have learning difficulties.
