Synopsis
This title provides a useful handbook for anyone interested in jewellery whether as a professional studio jeweller or as a recreational activity. Topics include: range of tools and materials available; four projects explain how to make a pair of hairpins in acrylic, a silver band ring, a pair of knotted wire earrings and an oxidized silver penannular brooch; and finally, a section on design with suggested exercises to follow. About the Author
Sarah Macrae has been a practising jeweller since graduating from Brighton Polytechnic in 1981. She has been a member of the Designer Jewellers Group since 1984 and exhibits with them regularly. She currently teaches beginners on both full and part-time courses at West Dean College, Chichester. Resident: Waterlooville, Hants
