About the Author

Ralph H. Blum received a degree in Russian studies from Harvard University. Following two years in Italy as a Fulbright Scholar, he returned to Harvard where he did graduate work in anthropology with grants from the National Science and Ford Foundations. He lives in Haiku, Maui. His original Book of Runes has sold over a million copies worldwide. Susan Loughan has been a healer specializing in all forms of abuse recovery for thirty years. She has participated in Recovery programmes herself for nearly fifteen years. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
