About the Author:
Michel Zumbrunn has been described by the British Journal of Photography as ?one of the world’s most successful car photographers’. He set up his first studio in his native Zurich in 1961, and thirty years later was one of the founding freelance photographers of French car magazine Automobiles Classiques, for which he continues to work today, alongside numerous other magazines in Europe and Japan. Zumbrunn’s other books include Auto Legends (2004), Italian Auto Legends (2006), Ferrari Legends (2010) and British Auto Legends (2012), all published to critical acclaim by Merrell.
Robert Cumberford is a world-renowned independent car designer and journalist, who, since 1954, has written literally thousands of magazines articles on cars, aircraft and design. He is Automotive Design Editor for Automobile magazine (USA), and Special Features Editor for Auto & Design magazine (Italy). He co-curated the major exhibition The Italian Avantgarde in Car Design, held in New York in September/October 2002. An American by birth, he now lives in south-west France.
