About the Author

Rebecca Goodbourn is Policy and Research Manager at the Campaign for Learning and leads its two Learning to Learn projects in schools and FE, a range of other research and development projects and its policy programme. '

From the Inside Flap

This is the first book in the Learning to Learn for Life series of practical resource materials for everyone interested in developing better schools and lifelong learners. It has a particular emphasis on Foundation and Key Stage 1. Other key stages will feature in later publications.

This book is based on Phase 3 of the Campaign for Learning s Learning to Learn in Schools action research project, which is examining how to help pupils learn most effectively and so give each one the best chance to achieve his or her full potential. Phase 3 develops the outcomes of Phases 1 and 2 of the project, which have previously been published in Teaching pupils how to learn and Creating a learning to learn school.
