About the Author
Stephen Jones is the winner of three World Fantasy Awards, four Horror Writers Association Bram Stoker Awards and three International Horror Guild Awards, as well as being a multiple recipient of the British Fantasy Award and a Hugo Award nominee.
A former television producer/director and genre movie publicist and consultant, he has written and edited more than 130 books, including the Fearie Tales: Stories of the Grimm and Gruesome, A Book of Horrors, Curious Warnings: The Great Ghost Stories of M.R. James, Psycho-Mania! and The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror and Zombie Apocalypse! series.

Nolan, Joel Lane and Neil Gaiman. UK small-press A5 magazine edited by Stephen Jones and David Sutton devoted to Heroic Fantasy (and later, Dark Fantasy): 17 small-press magazine issues were published 1977-1987. A very high standard was maintained throughout (the first issue includes contributions by Michael Moorcock, Brian Lumley and Ken Bulmer). Issue 17 (1987) was the last in the (irregular) format: from 1988 - 1991 there were a further seven issues in paperback format from Robinson publishers, a worthy, but ultimately doomed, attempt to gain a wider circulation through the major high street book chains.
