About the Author
Declan Donnellan founded Cheek by Jowl, which he ran for fifteen years followed by a freelance theatre and opera directing career including an all-male As You Like It, the world premiere of Angels in America at the National, the Nationals magnificent revival of Sweeney Todd, the RSC's Great Expectations and, most recently, breathtaking productions of The Changeling and Tis Pity She's A Whore on tour and at the Barbican.
