Synopsis
Blackstone's "Legal Practice Case Studies" series is aimed at giving students a framework on which to build course work. This should help give students a practical focus to the work undertaken on the LPC, so that they will be made aware of its relevance in practice. The case studies take the student step-by-step through the development of a case to its final conclusion. The actual cases have an accompanying commentary, and full reference to relevant documents is included. They have been published as a complement to "Blackstone's Legal Practice Course Guides". This case study provides a practical illustration of two civil litigation cases from start to finish. The first case is a personal injury claim and the second is a contractual dispute. In both cases, the authors take the student through the solicitor's file systematically, from the first attendance note to enforcement and taxation on costs, with examples of documents and forms where appropriate.
