Synopsis

(A Practical Approach to Evidence first appeared in 1980, and its success in providing a readable and practical guide to the subject has been widely acknowledged not only by law teachers and students, but also by the profession.

The book provides a thematic treatment of the subject geared to its realities in practice and deals with the important issues raised.
The teaching method adopted in this book and in the companion volume Evidence: Materials for Discussion by Peter Murphy and John Beaumont, has sparked a new trend in the teaching of Evidence and has proved both popular and effective.
