From the Author

Having taught boys and girls in secondary schools in England and Scotland for a few years now, there's one thing I see in my job that never ceases to amaze me: it's the vast amount of talents our young people possess. Yet, sadly, much of that potential is never turned into reality. Why? Well, there are as many reasons as there are stars in the sky, but there's one thing that crops up time and again. It's the tendency to think that success and achievement are for a gifted few only - so our talents hide and wither in the closets of our minds, sometimes for a lifetime! Why not read 'Smart Thinking', and you too could be like the many youngsters I've heard saying, "I never thought I could ever. . ., and yet. . .!"
