In this book the author takes readers into the cockpits of some rare and unusual aircraft as well as some well-known ones he has flown during the period 1930-1950. Captain Brown analyzes their flight characteristics with the critical assessment of the skilled test pilot and reveals some of the idiosyncracies and delights of a very varied assortment of 44 aircraft. The author is the most decorated test pilot Britain has ever produced, and has many "firsts" to his credit in aviation history. He has also written "Wings of the Weird and the Wonderful, Volumes 1 and 2".
