Synopsis
This textbook is designed for social workers and others in social work practice as a guide to the application of a systematic method for understanding and using social networks. As the importance of informal as well as formal care is more widely recognized, social workers and others in the helping professions have come to see the services they provide more and more in the context of the people, places and activities that are significant to the client's daily life. In part one, social network analysis is studied generally, while part two deals with specific applications of network analysis. Finally, the role of day care is studied, and procedures suggested for routine reviews using social network analysis.
