Synopsis

Omar Henry was the first coloured Test cricketer to play for South Africa, and was a member of the World Cup party in 1992. He had been at the centre of controversy in South African cricket for more than a decade, blazing a trail for racial integration, while often villified by those who felt he had sold out to those running "white" cricket. This book tells the full story of a man who is proud of his achievements and is still active in developing cricket in the townships. He now commands wide respect throughout all cricketing and political factions in South Africa. This is the story of one man's commitment to the course that he felt was right, despite considerable pressure both from the media and from within his own family.
