Having shed his youthful dreams of a future as a rock star, he embarked on a career in software engineering and IT systems, where he found what he calls his ‘intellectual niche’. In 1981, he went to California on a 90-day project and loved it so much he stayed. He has worked on many different projects all over the world, while remaining based in Santa Cruz with his wife and four children.
