About the Author
Deborah A. Hwa-Froelich, PhD, Professor at Saint Louis University, conducts research on sociocultural, socioeconomic, and social-emotional factors influencing communication development and disorders. She has received several awards, including Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Angel in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition for Adoption Institute.
