Synopsis

'Your soul is mine, Vectigan. Your life clock runs short. Soon you shall assume an existence that your worst nightmares could not create.' With these terrifying words resounding in his head, Vortigan the Vectigan wakes up on the morning of his thirteenth birthday, wondering if he's been dreaming. As the day unfolds in his peaceful Vectigan village, things get stranger and stranger, until suddenly Vortigan finds himself confronted with nothing less than a magnificent, powerful dragon and the revelation that magic is real. Accompanied by his faithful monkey, Ralph, and his old 'granfer' Boridan, Vortigan must set out on a quest to rescue his father from the evil Lord Ordog. But his father is not the only one relying on Vortigan: the entire safety of the world rests on his shoulders. Will he ever be able to defeat the greatest evil in the world and prove to himself that he is indeed 'the chosen one'? Or, as he suspects in his heart, will the prophecy prove false? He is about to find out. www.vortigan.com Vortigan and the Legend of Legends is a great read by Russell Ince.
