Synopsis

School loser Edwin must go back to Hysteria. He MUST. Why? Well, erm, to help his doppelganger Prince Auvlin win a triathlon... *cough cough* But Edwin and Perpetua are happy to use even the flimsiest excuse to return to Hysteria. Only things aren t as they seem Auvlin is acting more than a little bit shifty and when the friends spy strange riders in the forest they begin to suspect that darker things are afoot than cheating at a major triathlon event. Edwin Spencer s second adventure in Hysteria where wizards work with science, and chivalry and honour are locked in an eternal battle against the darkest of Shadow magic...

About this title

About the Author

J. D. Irwin (who also answers to Julie) started writing Edwin Spencer: Mission Improbable, the first book to feature Edwin and Perpetua, in 2001 when on maternity leave. She'd been writing grown-up fiction on and off for years, but soon discovered writing stories for children was much more fun and from then on didn't want to write anything else!
