He is the founder and editor of The Journal of Vaishnava Studies and an associate editor of Back to Godhead magazine of the Hare Krishna Movement. Rosen has a strong opinion about vegetarianism and wrote Diet for Transcendence : Vegetarianism and the World Religions (1997 , published earlier as food for the spirit ) and Holy Cow: The contribution of Hare Krishna Vegetarianism and Animal Rights ( 2004) . In the previous volume , is explained in a systematic practice of vegetarianism in the various religious traditions such as Christianity , Islam , Buddhism , Hinduism and Judaism , with special attention to the philosophical schools of India.
