This book explains how you can adjust and modify your car’s suspension, steering and brakes to make it handle and brake well. Author Des Hammill is an engineer with much practical experience of solving fast road car and racing car suspension problems. This book is a distillation of his accumulated knowledge, which he passes on to the reader in a jargon-free and understandable manner and with the aid of clear, custom-drawn diagrams. Although much of the advice in this book is applicable to any type of suspension system, it is aimed at improving the handling of two-seater sports cars and kit cars. Specifically, the book deals with suspension systems comprising wishbones/A-arms at the front and wishbones/A-arms/trailing arms (independent or live axle) at the rear, coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers.

About the Author
Hailing originally from New Zealand, Des Hammill is a professional engineer with many years of practical experience of building race-winning engines and solving technical problems. The author of several books in the SpeedPro series, Des writes in an easy to understand manner and gives step-by-step guidance. Des also takes his own photographs and creates his own line drawings.
